The purpose of the present study was to develop and to validate a scale to measure different rudeness behaviors types that can experience people in the workplace. The scale developed was validated with a sample of 310 employed persons of which 57.7% (179) were women and 42.3% (131) were men. The average age of the participating people was 35.44 years of age with a standard deviation of 9.76 years. A total of 27.1% (84) occupied a managerial position and a 71.9% (223) a not managerial position. The average education level was 16.24 years, what is equivalent to a bachelor´s degree. The time working was 9.69 years with a standard deviation of 2.16 years. All the participating people were employed, which was the criterion for its participation in the study. The results suggest through the factors analysis technique that the variability of the scale was caused by four factors: (1) Hostility, (2) Invasion to the Privacy, (3) Exclusive Behaviors and (4) Gossip, just as was proposed by the authors. The reliability of the scale and its subscales was examined through Cronbach´s alpha technique and these coefficients fluctuated between .83 to. 90.Citas
