The objectives of this study were to understand transphobia attitudes among healthcare professionals (e.g., doctors, nurses, psychologists), to explore if the levels of transphobia differ between those providers who offer health services to Trans people in contrasts with those that do not, and to know whether the levels of transphobia and religiousness among healthcare providers are related regardless of whether or not they provide health services to Trans people. The participants were 67 cisgender healthcare professionals from the areas of psychology, nursing, primary medicine, and others. We used nonparametric Mann-Whitney test, the Spearman's correlation, and a regression model to examine our objectives. In this study: (1) no significant differences were found between the levels of transphobia in healthcare professionals who provide services or not towards Trans people, and (2) a significant negative relationship was found between transphobia and religiousness. Finally, a discussion of the research findings is presented, as well as its limitations and contributions.
