Abstract

Since the beginning of 2020, the West faces a challenge that most of its inhabitants have not experienced. COVID-19 has indeed forced us to change the rhythm of life in our society. All social habits, from the simplest, have been forced to change. Not to mention the challenges faced by science and technology, whose advances seem to have been left behind. Likewise, the security that we had in health systems, especially in medicine, where foresight, speed, and success have been questioned. The truth is that the death of human beings has substantially impacted the world; therefore, mental health professionals must have the skills required to deal with this type of grief effectively.
