Validez y Fiabilidad Interna del Florida Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory – Part B (FOCI-B) en Adultos de Puerto Rico

Este estudio examinó la utilidad psicométrica de la Florida Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory – Part B (FOCI-B) en adultos de Puerto Rico a partir de un análisis secundario de datos. Se trabajó con respuestas autoinformadas obtenidas en línea y se incorporaron medidas de depresión y ansiedad para contrastes de validez. La estructura interna se evaluó mediante un análisis factorial confirmatorio unidimensional con estimación robusta. Los ítems mostraron funcionamiento coherente con el constructo de severidad obsesivo-compulsiva y, atendiendo a la proximidad semántica entre evitación e interferencia, se permitió una covarianza residual que mejoró el ajuste sin comprometer la unidimensionalidad. La consistencia interna fue elevada y las asociaciones con síntomas depresivos y ansiosos respaldaron la validez convergente prevista por la teoría. En conjunto, la FOCI-B emerge como una medida breve, precisa y adecuada para el tamizaje y el monitoreo de síntomas en investigación y práctica clínica. Se recomienda explorar invarianza entre subgrupos, estabilidad temporal y validez criterial en estudios futuros.
